After leaving an abusive situation, she works with our case manager to choose a credential program — medical, accounting, trades, IT.

We pay the school directly. We also cover transportation and on-site childcare so nothing stops her from showing up.

She earns the credential, then a paycheck

Before you give.

Common questions about how the education program works and how your money is spent.

Career-credentialed programs only — medical assistant, dental assistant, bookkeeping, IT support, CDL truck driving, certified nursing assistant, and customer service certifications. We don't fund general college because credentials lead to faster job placement for survivors who need income now.
Cornerstone Members get a quarterly impact report with named graduates, photos, and outcomes from their cohort. Members are also invited to graduation ceremonies and the annual gala.
Yes. Suzy's Place is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All monetary contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by US law. You'll receive an email receipt immediately and a year-end summary in January.
About 8% of our enrollees don't finish — life happens. If your sponsored survivor doesn't complete, we'll redirect your gift to the next woman in that program with your permission, or refund it. You decide.
65% of US employers match charitable gifts to 501(c)(3)s. Use the matching tool to check yours. Most matches are 1:1, some are 2:1, up to 3:1 — your $75 could become $300.
Cornerstone Members receive quarterly impact reports with named graduates, before/after photos (with consent), training hours funded, and job placement outcomes. We publish annual audited financials and are 4-star rated by Charity Navigator.
